A Mount Vernon site, Patriot Fabrics is a Drupal 8 Commerce site, where Mount Vernon sells their overstock product lines to a varied customer base, from simple DIYers to major garment manufacturers.
The site, Mount Vernon's first on Drupal 8, includes a batch process for importing new and updated products. The inventory and products are maintained in an ERP system, which is queried to determine what products are appropriate to sell on this site. This batch process was modeled after this example: [Drupal 8 Batch Process CSV Import] Finding a useful example of a Drupal 8 batch process was a bit of a challenge, but this example is excellent.
Users populate a shared folder with scanned images of the fabric, a cron job syncs those to the Drupal server, and the batch import creates/updates the Drupal Commerce products and links the images.
The site features a subtheme of the Porto Drupal 8 theme. I found this to be an excellent theme, with lots of great features and a great deal of flexibility.
